Environmental Pathogens

Faculty in Environmental and Global Health focus on national and international emerging infectious disease research and training. In many of the department’s studies the focus is on understanding human and ecological health effects of environmental agents, both chemical and biological, as well as the interaction between chemical and biological agents, on health outcomes. Research includes studies on Influenza Virus Infections, Zoonotic Influenza Transmission, Global Emerging Infections Surveillance, RVF infections, and influenza among migrating and aquatic birds to name a few.
